School starts at 8:10 a.m. and closes at 1:30 p.m. ( Sunday to Thursday)

The entrance gates will be closed from 8:10 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. to discourage late comers. The gates will again be closed from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. to discourage parents from intruding into classrooms. Students who come late have to wait in the reception till the first period ends. (9:00 a.m.)

The school gate will open from 7:30 a.m. and will be closed at 2:00 p.m. The school is not responsible for any mishap before 7:30 a.m. and after 2:00 p.m. The school nurse and other assistance will be available only upto 2:00 p.m. Parents are requested not to drop their wards before 7.30 am and to pick them up before 2.00 pm, so that they are not left unattended. The school gates will close at 2:00 p.m.

Male guardians are only allowed till the 2nd gate at all times. They will be allowed in the school only on Parent Teacher days. Male guardians are requested not to insist on entering the school premises, as this will result in an unwelcome scene.

K.G. 1 & K.G. 2 students may come 15 minutes late and go home 15 minutes earlier with their guardians, from the KG gate. The guardian must have an Emirates Id / Driving license.

The KG section gate is open, for the use of only the Primary Block students upto 8:30 a.m.

Students from class 3 onwards are not allowed to use the gate after 8:10 a.m.


Students must attend 80% of the classes held in each year, failing which they must repeat the class.

Students absenting themselves for a valid reason must bring a leave letter signed by the guardian on the day after their absence.

A student may absent himself / herself from one term examination on serious medical grounds, but must furnish a government medical report.

In all cases of absence the school reserves the right to accept the leave application. If a student is late to school, he / she must bring a letter signed by the father.

As per MOE Rules the name of any student absenting himself from school for more than 30 days will be removed from the School Roll.


Parents should fill the information page in the diary and check the diary everyday. They may communicate with the school through diary. Any change in phone numbers should be notified through the diary.

The office accepts fees on all working days from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

However, on term report card day the office does not accept any fees; neither is fees accepted one day before the report card day.

Parents who have not paid the fees may obtain the report card after making full payment on the next working day.

Parents who wish to send the fees through their children should send a crossed cheque in a sealed envelope, with the name & the class of the child and the amount of the cheque written on the envelope, to be handed over to the class teacher in the first period. Please insist on a receipt. Please do not send cash through students.

Part of the Term/month is counted as full.

Names of Students who have not cleared the previous year’s fees will be deleted in the next academic year.

To be enrolled in the next academic year, the fees of September and October must be paid by 20th June. Otherwise they will not be enrolled for the nect academic year. They will be re-admitted only if there is a vacancy.

All fees to be paid in advance before the 10th of the relevant month. Bus fees must be cleared along with school fees.

Fees once paid are not refundable.

(old students have paid in June)

If fees are not paid on time the student may be removed from the school roll after due warning.

Those who pay their tuition fee yearly will have to pay the bus fee in the same mode; in advance.

All cheques must be drawn in favor of “Ibn Seena English high School, Sharjah” in favor of account payee only. Bounced cheques will be reported to the authorities and an additional Dhs.50/- will be charged as bank charges.

School Fees will be charged till the date on which TC has been applied for. Fees can be paid between 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on weekdays (Sunday to Thursday).

3 months tuition fees to be paid at the time of admission, which will be adjusted in future payments.

There are no discounts on tuition fees / bus fees.

The only proof of payments is the receipts. Please keep it securely.

Bus users must be in the bus by 1:25 p.m. sharp. No student is allowed to enter after that.

Similarly, the bus user must be at the bus stop at the time given by the driver.

Misbehavior in the bus distracts the driver and therefore students who misbehave or disobey the conductor will be disallowed the use of the bus.

Parents are requested to pay their ward’s bus fee between 1st to the 10th of every month, on all working days, between 8:30 and 12 noon, or send with the conductor in the following manner
a. Enclose the cheque stapled to the envelope.
b. Write the student’s Name, Class, Section, Enrolment Number and Bus No on the envelope.

Insist on a receipt.

The school does not untertake any responsibility for the transportation of the child to and from school but will always try to provide the facility of buses for the purpose.

Though the school takes all precautions, it cannot be held responsible for any accident or damage done to the student in any eventuality.


Three warning letters will be issued for acts of minor indiscipline.

Frequent rule breaking or acts of serious indiscipline will result in suspension from one to seven days.

In rare cases, when it is felt that the student does not respond to correction and is having an adverse effect on the other students, he/ she will be expelled from school.


If the pupil is attentive in class and completes his/her assignments satisfactorily and regularly, he/she will have little difficult in obtaining good results at the examination. Parents are requested to attend to any weakness, immediately.

For the purpose of evaluating the pupil's progress during the year and the achievement at the end of the year, the school has adopted the method of various assessments and three term exams.

Pupils absent from any examination paper will not be re-examined.

The marks obtained in all assessments/examinations may be taken into consideration for promotion.

Students are not allowed to absent themselves from any term examinations. However, on medical grounds and at the discretion of the principal, students may absent themselves from one term exam. They will be awarded grades in such cases.

All matters regarding promotions are left entirely to the discretion of the Head of the School and his/her decision shall be final.

The results of the examinations are final and cannot be reconsidered.

Students found copying or using unfair means during the examination will be punished with expulsion from a part of or whole examination and will be awarded a zero in that paper.

Students who fail twice in the same class will be removed from the school roll.

Minimum passing marks are: Islamic and Arabic - 50%; All other subjects - 45%.

Students are given retests at the end of the year on the basis of Ministry of Education approved rules. A minimum of 35% marks are needed for a retest. Retests can only be given in three subjects.

Retest information will be given by SMS on the mobile phone and on the email provided by the parent in the diary.

Students are required to present themselves on the scheduled days of the re-examination. Absence, for any reason whatsoever will result in failure.


Students have to choose their subjects for O'level according to the list given below, after Class 8.

Physics Economics History
Chemistry Commerce English Language
Biology Accounting English Literature
Human Biology   Mathematics
    Islamic Studies

However subjects will be allotted according to merit and subject to availability. The aggregate marks in Maths and English will be taken for the merit list in Group A. Admission will be striclty on merit.

Students opting for Group A must obtain a minimum of 50% in both the above subjects.

Eligibility for Group A (Science)

Must have passed the final exams.
Retest in any subject disqualifies a student from Group A.
Grace marks in Maths, Science or English will disqualify the student for section A.

A Level Admission

Admission for A' level course is open only to the students scoring A or B grades in O' level examination for the subjects he / she opts for in A' Levels.


Held on the last Thursday of each month between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m, unless informed otherwise.

Parents who wish to contact teachers on other days may communicate through the pupil’s diary.

In an emergency, the school office may be approached for an appointment with a teacher.

Parents are dissuaded from going to class rooms except during parent teacher meetings.

Write a note in your ward's diary if you do not want your child to go by the school bus on the PTM day.


Mobile phones ARE NOT ALLOWED in school. In special cases, parents may request that their wards be allowed a mobile phone.

Then, if permitted, students may carry a phone WITHOUT A CAMERA. In case the phone rings in class, it will be confiscated.

Any unauthorized phone will be confiscated.


A school leaving certificate may be obtained during the academic year by filling out an application form 15 days in advance. The end of year schedule differs.

School leaving certificates for O' & A' level students must be applied for in June and will be given in the fourth week of September, after the Ministry accepts the Edexcel Results.

School Fees will be charged till the date on which TC has been applied for.


No student is allowed to drop a subject at the O’ Levels.

The school office will remain closed for the summer and winter vacations.

All holidays declared by the ministry will be observed by the school.

While the school will take every precaution during excursions and picnics, it cannot be held responsible for any mishaps.

Any damage to school property will not only render the student liable to make good the loss but can also result in expulsion.
